Setting: -
A caravan park on a windswept cliff
overlooking a deep ravine.
It was dawn when the young stranger arrived
with his battered suitcase.
Making his way to a shabby trailer
he knocked timidly on the door.
It was opened by a fittingly shabby woman.
He gave a sheepish smile -
'My name is Gervase.' he mumbled,
'Your sister's boy.'
A warm smile shone in her eyes
as she reached to embrace him.
'The last time you came
we built a giant sandcastle.
Do you remember? '
