The Void Poem by Nathan Killeen

The Void

Shifting silence,
Eternally dark

From my void
A heart’s great hark

Resounds into
My minds bounds,

And with this noise
My thought rebounds

Greenest grass
And sky most blue

Were these images
Ever true?

Blasphemy!
I draw away

Lest my mind
Go farther stray

From what I
Know to be

This nothingness
I always see.

But something deep
Inside of me

Keeps calling for
My mind to see

The colors all around.
