The Wanderer - Poem by Lorena Walker

through the night i wander
i look for you
i search within the eyes of another
but something tells me they are not blue

i look for you
with whiskey on my breath
but you do not lie beneath me in this bed
she's just a careless lay

and this heart of mine feels dead
tonight green eyes appear tonight at my door
and in that instant
i realize, i want no more, i want no more.
