The War Poem by Solomon Ndichu

The War

When peace was only found six feet under
Hounds became lovelier than men
Hell became more heavenly than earth
Sons of men with so white eyes
Held a revolver before crawling
Daughters of men so beautifully curved
Were pleasurable after a long days fight
Mice became wealthier than servants
Roaches more Valuable than life
Stars lost romance
So lovers wished there was no night
But heirs of soldiers continued with the fight
Though the cause of the fight was only a memory
So the guillotine continued
All because two emperors saw an angel in flesh! !
