The Watcher - Poem by Pam Hammond

Unseeing, she believes herself unseen
knows not where she's going,
nor yet where she's been,
The Watcher knows;
he knows her all
seen her stumble,
watched her fall,
gazed upon battles of right and wrong,
laughed as she lost, until all was gone.
In her troubled mind she wonders why
she remains alive and doesn't die,
The Watcher knows,
he plans her day,
for his amusement he makes her stay.
