The Wave Poem by Jake Dou

The Wave

We are robots,
Obeying all of society's commands.

We are programmed,
To do whatever society wants us to do.

We live day by day,
But we live with no meaning.
Because it's not us living, it's society.

We click and clack all year round,
Doing whatever it is that we do.

We walk and talk the same way everyday,
We do it again and again.

And though we don't know it,
We're being controlled.
By our master.
Society.
