The Way Poem by Maria Diola

The Way

The Way
I was believing a lie,
Missing out on life.
Going in the wrong direction,
Having no satisfaction.

Short-lived joy,
Happiness on the surface.
Life with shallow cause,
Leading to great loss.

In despair, I cried to You,
'Is this all there is? '
You took it as Your cue,
To come to my rescue.

You found me, You showed me,
You showed me what's true.
You found me, You told me,
You told me the way is YOU.
