im shaking like a leaf
cold as rain
scared of what im about to do
in a crowd of people
i can see you
i cant breathe
im forgetting what i need to say
but im not forgetting whats in my heart
you look over to where i am
and lock eyes with me
my heart is stuck in my throat
you smile at me
i can feel my body gong numb with desire
a desire to run up to you
to embrace you and never let go
we start to walk towards each other
a mass of people comes between us
then i cant see you anymore
they all pass by
i stand there looking for you
but youre gone
i start to walk away
trying to hold in the tears
that want to come out
i look up to the sky
that i hope will give me strength
strength to keep moving
strength for my heart thats breaking
breaking into a million pieces over you
i think to myself, 'why? '
'why cant i ever find where your heart is? '
i will live life never knowing
