The Way I See You Poem by Kylee Camille Kylee Camille

The Way I See You

You stand so tall, a little worn,
With gentle hands that life has sworn
To shape the world, to mend, to guide—
And I just watch, from just outside.
You're older, wiser, calm and kind,
A quiet strength, a thoughtful mind.
You never ask for praise or show,
But still, you glow. You always glow.
You laugh, and something in me stirs,
A secret kept in folded words.
You care so deeply, just because—
Not for applause, just who you are.
I wish you knew the way I see
The good you give so endlessly.
The way you make the heavy light,
The way your presence feels like night—
Not dark, but still, and full of stars,
That guide me gently from afar.
But I don't speak. I never say
How much you brighten up my day.
You think it's just the way you live,
But don't you know how much you give?
So here I stay, close but unseen,
In spaces small and in-between.
Loving quiet, loving true—
But never brave enough for you.
