The Way Of All Flesh - Poem by Joshua Decker

We sit here and cry
As the people we know die
We will always wonder why
It is the way of all flesh

We are lying
On our death beds
And the people around us are crying
As we go the way of all flesh

They stand around
Your bed underneath
And say things about when you could breathe
Because you have gone the way of all flesh

We will all follow
Down the way of all flesh
Because long after we cry
We will all soon die

After all the tears, Death follows. The harsh truth of our ending. A lovely poem on our not-so-happily-ever-afters. (Report) Reply
