The Way That We Do Poem by Casey Gochnour

The Way That We Do

Passionate lips rest on soft skin,
Fire coursing through blood deep within.
My heart is racing as we’re facing,
Eyes pacing down your body, slowly tracing.

Looking into your eyes, speaking to your smile,
Running fingers through your hair all the while.
Whispering sweet words, the ones you need to hear,
Nothing is more important than what we have here.

We filled our hearts with tight embrace,
Interlocking lips between face.
My touch is warm, I filled the hole,
Left behind that was deep in your soul.

I’m better with you, you’re better with me,
People around think we’re cute but they don’t see,
They don’t know the moments, the love exchange,
The nights we hold dear, never held strange,

Those memories of twilight under the moon,
The way that we would love last June.
Kissing and talking under the stars,
Those nights will always be ours.

The way that I touch, the way I watch you move,
The way I’ve seen your crutch, when I helped you improve.
The way that I kiss, the way I love all of you,
There is no one else that can love you the way that I do.

The way that you feel, the way you remain shy,
The way your heart is steel, yet for me you still cry.
I need your love, baby, I need all of you,
Because no one can love me the way that you do.
