The Whisper Poem by Paul Warren

The Whisper

Rating: 5.0

At the end of the evening
I closed the doors
And took a breath of air
At the front of my place
The crowd had left and I was left alone

The world was going to sleep
And a quiet settled over all
It's when I heard the whisper
You are not alone
I shouted Who was there
But I heard no more that night

I heard the whisper again
When I was feeling low
And couldn't see tomorrow
It would come again
You are not alone
Who or what it was I didn't know

So here I am again
When the world seems so low
And I wonder about tomorrow
My guardian angel would whisper
You are not alone
And I find a way to carry on.
