The Widow Poem by James Vergara

The Widow

There once was a widow
Who lived by the sea
Her life was simply perfect
Till her husband droned in pee
I know it sounds weird
And a bit imature
But you wouldn't understand
Till I explain a little more
See her husband was a drunk
And boy can he drink
She once watched him down a bottle
And he didn't even blink
But on this day It was different
He just didn't stop
Which would explain her reaction
When she heard a fatal pop
She thought he just fell
Or maybe slammed a door
But nothing could prepare her
For why she heard this and more
she was making her way upstairs
When she noticed something strange
The bathroom door was open
And the floor was full of change
It just so happens she was right
Her hisband simply slipped
But he forgot to flush the toilet
When his head took a dip
He must of passed out
From the wound on his head
Cause he was laying in the toilet
When his wife found him dead
This is no laughing matter
Its very unfortunate you see
Cause this all happen yesterday
And now she has to pee...
