Caitlin, welcome to Poem Hunter! Looking forward to reading more of your poems in the future. After reading this poem, I think you should change the title to 'The Widow'. A widower is a man who hast lost his wife, and a widow is a woman who has lost her husband. The poem itself is great.

Thank you Kim! Unfortunately, this poem is a part of a collection called Flowers of Night that I have recently published on Amazon. The title suggestion was very thoughtful however I decided to have it titled The Widower so that it gives the illusion that I am talking about a man when in fact I am talking about a woman. Although, I will change the title to The Widow on here but as for the published collection, I cannot change that. Thank you for the helpful advice! Please check out my poetry collection on Amazon! I will be posting another poem from it now.
