The Wind Of Change - Poem by JESUROBOOWIE GIFT IMAFIDON

Scattered and charred decay
Epitomize this nation of decoy
The future is lured to a gruesome death
As disgruntled leaders milked her wealth

Ahead, the roads are coloured with bloody red
Trust is now a misguided lad
Their mouths sing only in deceits
Until goutiness marks their feints

We vent, vex, rant and sigh
Bottled inside a burning fire so tight
Pure anger, hatred and pain berth
To murder the wastage in the land of our birth

Now is the time to take a stand
And let the wind of change sieve away the sheaves
For the future starts from now
To make or mar
The choice is ours to make
We cannot wait any more
For this is our chance
To rid our land of the evil warlords
Who have entrapped us to be enslaved for so long

Wake up, oh youths from your slumber
Wake up, else there will be no tomorrow
But now, tomorrow has already come
Resist the darkness, so when the sun finally set
We will be thankful to breathe the fresh air of the changes we see.
