The Window Poem by Nia Schexnider

The Window

Rating: 4.0

She sits in the window of her mind,
Living in another time,
Looking out, only to see things grow.
*
Waiting for another day,
When all her troubles will blow away,
She grows old.
*
She says, 'Hold on, wait for me.'
'You're supposed to be my family.'
'I'm struggling here. Can't you see? '
'I'm alone.'
