The Winds Of Pain Poem by Deborah Calquhoun

The Winds Of Pain

Suddenly it's cold outside, I've no strength to run, no place to hide
Pain is blowing it's icy wind
The walls of my heart are giving in
These bent up emotions so hard to contain
Constantly fighting the winds of pain
Trembling with fear like a scared and lost child
This pain is outrageously driving me wild
I feel like running, I can't remain
There's no place to hide from the winds of pain
I keep on fighting blinded by tears
This pain that I feel awakens my fears
Leaving me weak, my resistance is low
No place to hide from the winds icy blow
If this storm don't clear I'll go insane
My strength is lost
My soul is shattered by the winds of pain
