The World Goes On Poem by Shalom Freedman

The World Goes On

THE WORLD GOES ON

The world goes on
Mighty rivers flow to the sea
Great things are done and undone
Across the universe stride colosses
Whose names all know.
I hide in some small corner of myself
Far away from everyone else
I dare not even look outside
I write and write and write and write.
