The World Has Never Heard Of Summer Poem by Johnny Super

The World Has Never Heard Of Summer

Rating: 5.0

It's like the world has never heard
Of warm days under the sun.
Or playing on the beach
Where you and your dog will run.

It's like the world has never heard
Of swimming and getting a tan.
Or getting so darn hot
That you're laying under a fan.

It's like the world has never heard
Of burning in the heat.
Instead we're getting cloudy skies
And lots and lots of sleet.

It's like the world has never heard
Of wearing shorts and shades.
Instead we're getting snow
From this winter that invades.

It's like the world has never heard
Of snow cones being sold.
Despite the fact that it's July
It's still blistering cold.

It's like the world has never heard
Of canoeing down the river.
But it's so cold and snowy
That we just can't help but shiver.

It's like the world has never heard
Of tulips and flowers growing
We are all tired of the
Wind that just keeps blowing.

It's like the world has never heard
Of heatwaves drying the town
Or getting really desperate
To find a way to cool down.

It's like the world has never heard
Of extreme summer heat
But the only thing it's heard of
Is snow beneath my feet.
