The World Is Going Down The Drain Like Our Lives - Poem by Brittni Stumpho

I'm sitting here looking out
The window
As the news is on the T.V in the
Background
They are talking about how another
Person just got killed
As I sit here I wonder
What happened to the world?
How'd we ever make it so bad?
Wars go on
As nothing's done
To save
The helpless, homeless, and needy.
I'll never know why
We need to give so
much money
To people in other countries
Buy not worry about the hungry
Kids in this country
And as sit here I wonder
What happened to the world?
How'd we make it so bad?
Wars go on
As nothing done
To save
The helpless, homeless, and needy.
Kids getting pregnant
Making stupid desicions
Never knowing what way to go
Peer pressure forcing them to
Say yes or no
Celebrities are supposed to be to be
'Role Models'
But always set the wrong examples
and
again,
I'm left here to wonder
What happened to the world?
How'd we ever make it so bad?
Wars go on
As nothing's done
To save
The helpless, homeless, needy
