The World Is What You See Poem by T. L. Mitchell

The World Is What You See

Rating: 5.0

Its hard to analyze what you see
When you can't see anything past two feet.
But once something is that close
Its too late and you're in a danger zone.
The world is often blinded by the rest of the world
By the little birds and the bees story where boy meets girl.
But really girl is boys toy
And girl gets left with that little bundle of joy
Stop fantasizing about the fantasies
And get real with reality
Children making babies isn't what life's meant to be
Theres no time for second mistakes
When all it takes is the one time 'it' breaks
What people see is often what they want to see:
A view that only they can perceive
But tell this dream to someone like me
Who can show you another aspect and paint an imagery
This world is blind, blind to itself
With the thought that boy meets girl and that's what love is
But when boy and girl walk into reality they will see
There is no love in this world, and life itself is just a dream
