The World Moves On Poem by Kimberly Lynn

The World Moves On

As the minutes roll by
And I still don't see your name
I realize this is your goodbye
But it's a coward way
I just want to know why
Is it that selfish of me?
Was this all just one big lie?
I honestly dont know
Looking up at the sky
You'll realize the world moves on
To try to stop it would be a lie
And yet thats what we do
No matter what, still we try
But our efforts go unnoticed
Under the stars we lay
Under the moon our lies show
Under the sun we all fry
Is moving on worth this?
