The World Used To Be A Better Place To Be Poem by LANGENI AYEZA

The World Used To Be A Better Place To Be

Long time ago we used to fear nothing
That time where the nation was united
People used to value their dignities
Used to respect themselves

It was at the earliest centuries
Where you knew very well that you free
No harm around you only safety
Times have changed
The world is no longer the same any more
You go around holding your teeth
Fearing of everything you have with you

The world has turned to be like hell
Where everyone is crying of his actions
No mother, father nor siblings
Well I mean family have no definition
There’s pride, jealousy, corruption,
War, and many more of the devil’s belongings
People are lovers of themselves and money
The meaning of love is well known as hate

People now love for different reasons
For your outlook beauty, money,
Intelligence, their loneliness
To show off and for status
To make you the puppet
So you can help to fulfill their needs,
Desires and emotions
