The World We Cant See Poem by Sam Edison

The World We Cant See

I open my eyes to see the world we cant see
The ugliness of life inprisoned but still free
The chill in the wind freezes the blood in my veins
As I stroll through the streets of ancient remains
I find myself on the steps of a temple in ruins
The ruins of my heart no longer intact
I wither away and my skull it is cracked
In matter of fact my soul is still trapped
Trapped in this flesh that leads me astray
The flesh is so weak every night every day
Blood starts to rain from the red clouded skies
The atmosphere as thick as all of mans lies
For far too long we have worshipped false gods
Celebrities, technology and your flat screen tv
Putting worthless ideas over a Holy Trinity
Noone wants to view the real landscape of life
If you really could open your eyes what would you see?
