The Worth Of Patience Poem by ashok jadhav

The Worth Of Patience

Patience is the quiet song
the heart hums when hope grows tired,
a low note held through empty rooms
while dreams rest, unlit, unnamed.
It teaches time to soften pain,
to let the wound become a scar,
to wait until the storm forgets
the violence of its voice.
Patience walks beside our losses,
never promising return,
only offering steady ground
when everything else slips away.
In waiting, roots learn depth,
stars learn how to be unseen,
and hearts discover strength
that haste would never allow.
The worth of patience is not reward—
it is the grace of staying whole,
of learning how to breathe and trust
while the world takes its time.
For what survives the longest night
is not the dream that rushed to bloom,
but the one that waited, quietly,
for the light that truly lasts.
