The Yellow Brick Road Poem by chris schwartz

The Yellow Brick Road

They all got the best of me
And you got what is left of me
But still you shine on
Carrying on,
Like I'm beautiful.
I used to plant flowers
Dreaming of you,
Of the day that my love
Would blossom
Into you.
And here you are,
Bloominglike
A flower,
That I feared,
Would never grow.
Hello, Yellow brick Road.
It's been such a long path,
Filled with witches
And demons,
And friends,
But I finally found,
My Emerald city,
At the end of the journey,
Long at last.
Now that I found you
It seems so simple
What I've longed for,
All my life,

Was just three simple clicks
Of my heels,
To paradise.
Just need to close my eyes
And I am home.
