The Yellow Orchid
A little sun upon the green,
A golden bloom, both soft and bright,
It opens where the leaves have been,
And gathers whispers from the light.
Its petals glow like morning rays,
A quiet spark, a gentle flame,
And in the hush of summer days,
The yellow orchid speaks its name.
It does not boast, it does not sway
For praise or admiration near;
It simply blooms and lights the day,
A tender beauty, calm and clear.
And when the evening shadows fall,
Its golden heart still seems to say:
"Even the smallest flower can call
A little sunshine into day."
