Theology From Loving Two Cats

With the puppy coming into the house
The uneasy sphere of influence peace
Of the two cats ended.
With "Squirt" at my head
Lilly at my feet
I understood how God can love
Both Blue and Gray
German and American
Yet remain neutral in these historic conflicts
With hope that the better natures
Of the animals will prevail.
