Ther Perfection That I Wanted Poem by Silence Dogood

Ther Perfection That I Wanted

I never said the right things.
or showed how much I care.
But im glad you didnt leave.
And were almost always there.

I always messed things up.
No matter how hard I tried.
But with you it didnt matter.
No matter how much I lied.

Cause you were everything.
That I could never be.
The perfection that I wanted.
But failed to ever see.

You never backed down.
Even when I pushed you far away.
And so I say thankyou.
Cause i'm glad that you could stay.

But you have to understand.
That I still don't feel the same.
I like you alot but not enough.
And it's friends we shall remain.

But trust me when I say this.
We won't always be just friends.
So I ask you not to leave me.
Cause I'll love you in the end.
