There Is A Courage Of Defiance



THERE IS A COURAGE OF DEFIANCE

There is a Courage of Defiance
That abhors self- pitying complaint-
I do not have it much
But I admire it –

In my Old Age
I know certain ways in which
I would have been different-

But heroic rage
Is not mine
Even against myself0

Quietly quietly I complain my pain towards the ground-
