There Is A Place Poem by Catherine Casey

There Is A Place

There is a place
So close to me
And yet so far away.
It beckons out from
Time to come
Until I reach the day.

Where happiness is sevenfold,
And love's memories so dear.
That even at the end of time,
I will never have to fear.

Oh come I beg
The time I pray,
My wish it will come true.
Looking out upon the scene
Of fluffy clouds and blue.

And even as the skylark sings
In this enchanted place.
My inward senses draw me near
To one befriended face.

So long ago it will then seem
Since we first came together.
That as our shadows then entwined,
Delight will last forever.
