Growing up
I was taught to embrace education
I was made to understand success depends on it
I studied hard, following the laid down path
I excelled, I prospered
Yet, success is not yet forthcoming

Having grown up, I began to re-evaluate
Having seen friends succeed without education
Having meet friends with education excel
I decided there is no fixed path
I resolve to teach my unborn children all known paths
I accept the reality of our existence
That education may be the catalyst
But it is not the only path to success
In fact, there is no fixed path
