There's A Corpse In The Corner Poem by Charles Malcolm

There's A Corpse In The Corner

There's a corpse in the corner
I try not to see.

Try not to smell.

We sit together,
eternity in this cell.

It smiles at me as it rots,
begging for my screams.

She said that there were ghosts
in this house.

I'm only starting to know now
what she meant
and what she means.
