There You Are Poem by Paul Price

There You Are

Rating: 5.0

Everywhere I turn,
There you are.
There for me to see,
There for me to remember.

I try to forget you,
But I can't.
I can't get you out,
When all I see is you.

I want to forget,
I want to not hurt,
But I can't.

There yiu are,
Like nothing happened,
Like nothing was ever there.
I want the pain to go away
I want to be me again.

Though a comment about your poetry won't do much to ease the hurt, I think your poem very effectively expresses your strong feelings. I really like the last stanza in which you want your identity back, the 'me without you' back. We've all felt it, this heartbreak, and putting it into words does seem to help sometimes.
