These Hands - Poem by Kaylo Littleton

These hands weren't meant to harm,
They weren't meant to slay,
They were meant to care,
And keep worries at bay.

These hands weren't meant to hate,
They weren't meant to be pushed or shoved,
They were meant to love,
And in turn be loved.

These hands weren't meant to destroy,
They weren't meant to break,
They were made to create,
And to give, not take.

These hands weren't meant to be selfish,
They weren't meant to never suffice,
They were meant to share,
And live life by sacrifice.

These hands weren't meant to be alone,
They weren't meant to have dwelled,
They were meant for another,
And by her they should always be held…
