They Are Only Being Human Poem by Francis Duggan

They Are Only Being Human

They are only being human and for that them one cannot blame
If they are determined to seek their own fame
To succeed in life yourself you must promote
A fact of which many do seem to take note
Of since many are into the self promotion game
As for themselves they try for to make a name
But you must be good at what you do and as well some luck need
If where many do fail you are one who succeed
It is hard enough to be best in the town
And harder by far to know of Worldwide renown
So many are striving for to be the best
But only one amongst them can pass such a test
Self promotion is an understandable thing
To know of any success your own praises you must sing
