They Became My World Poem by Moya Staten

They Became My World

Remember when we first hugged, kissed, remember how it felt,
Remember when I told you, you are my first, you had a smile so wide, your"glad bag" burst.

I was just a young girl naive and free, no one really taught me about the birds and the bee.

I was caught up in you striking looks, you deep brown eyes, did not realize I was swept away, till my life went a rye.

It was not love at first sight, couldn't see, what you saw in me, is my eyes, is it my looks, it my heart that rested opening on my sleeve.

You walk in manipulated my mind, wow I understand why they say love is blind..You told me you would love me forever that you won't leave me, we will always be together.

She gave you two hearts, one boy and one girl, and woman, who had given you her world.

She gave you more than she gave herself, , a sacrifice of love, even when she is overwhelmed, She saw value in who you are, you became her world, you were her everything, by far.

She had dream, that would never be realized, when you walked away, her heart her soul, they were paralyzed, she became cold, with a harden heart,no love for men, only he children, she was wounded deep, the scars were unseen.

She broke the chains that had her bound, hoping that one day real love would be found, she raised he children, the best she can, she had the task of teaching her son how to be a man.

The one she trusted, the one she loved, the one she cared, had left by her lonesome, with a broken heart.

She finally forgave him and all concerned, the bad memories shesheltered, she finally burned, letting go of pain, she has moved on, and has grown, and so has her children, she still care for the man sheloved, who gave the two hearts, that became her world.
