They Cant Understand Poem by Lucie Rice

They Cant Understand

Sometimes I feel as if I am invisible
Except only when I am criticized
I see the way that they all look at me
The way that they cant understand

I can feel how they hate the way I move
The way I sway under the moonlight
They cant hear the same music
The way they cant understand

I can hear them talking back and forth
Over the same cup of tea
I can hear them say my name with sour
Still yet they cant understand
