They Label Me Anyways - Poem by Mara YBrown

If I eat a normal meal I'm fat.
If I eat a salad I'm anorexic.
If my family has money I am a stuck up richie rich.
If my family doesn't have alot of money I'm a poor charity kid.
If I wear make-up I'm a fake.
If I don't wear make-up I'm ugly.
If I have guy friends I'm a _____.
If I don't date anyone I'm a social loner.
If I speak my mind I'm a ____.
If I try to defend myself I'm a jerk.
If I am smart I'm a nerd.
If I wear black I'm goth.
If I cry I'm a wimp.
If I wear name brands I'm a prep.
If I hang out with the popular kids I'm a wannabe.
If I don't want to be labeled, they label me anyways.
