They Must Be Told! ! ! - Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Where do you live what do you do?
How do you spend your time?
For I’ve moved from where I’m used to
A place with so much crime

Where some have foolishness believed
Others have so much doubt
Of what, others have been deceived
I know nothing about

Is righteousness here anywhere?
Is anyone! not lost?
Do any love or even care?
That someone’s paid the cost

Has no one told them of God’s Word?
The devil that evil beast
Surely of Jesus someone’s heard
Or been to church at least

Does no one think of life and death?
Does no one wonder why?
When someone takes their final breath
What happens when they die?

Is nothing spoken of Jesus?
Is God not spared a thought?
Is nature just here to please us?
Is truth not ever sought?

Oh Lord dear God they must be told
Should least be taught to fear
Then some may join us in the fold
While Jesus still is near

Someone one must learn to understand
Of Heaven’s perfect love
So Christ can draw them in His hand
To take with us above………
