They Must! Have Seen

Confusion; is an evil foe
The devil’s cunning seed
A cancer; darkness makes to grow
And on one’s mind to feed

God’s children found in Jesus’ hand
Those Heaven’s grace set free
Will live and serve at God’s command
For all the world to see

They’ll turn in Christ the other cheek
They’ll smile and bear the rod
They’ll hear, when others point and speak
“There goes a child of God”

Like Matthew, Mark, like Luke and John
Who walked the extra mile
They knew and loved God’s Lamb & Son –Jn.1: 1
At death; they’d even smile –Mk.10: 39

Yet who’s prepared for nought to die?
For something only heard?
If Christ was just another lie –Jn.18: 11
Their death would be absurd –1Co.15: 19

They must! Have seen their risen Lord –Ac.1: 3
Heard! Jesus as He spoke –Jn.21: 10
Seen! Holes, those dreadful nails had bored –Jn.20: 27
For them to bear their yoke

Christ’s holy name, could none deny –Ac.7-
From truth, would no-one part
For righteousness, they chose to die
With Jesus in their heart

Who’ll now, confusion cast aside
Who’ll learn The Lord to fear
Who’ll seek God’s Lamb who came and died –Lk.23-
To them, will Christ appear –1Jn.3: 2…
