Think For Yourself-Read A Book Poem by T.J. Daniels

Think For Yourself-Read A Book

No one can read
'the writing on the wall'
'cause they never learned to read in school.

In school they teach you
to be there when the bell rings.

Never be tardy.

And to be absent
is a terrible thing!

(Employers don't like it either.)

They teach you how to use a calculator
and not your fingers.

You're taught how to use a computer
so you won't even have to open a book.

Go see a movie
you don't even have to know how to read.

Read a book
and think for yourself!

Read a book
believe in yourself!

And not just what you're told!
