Thinking, Believing (A Song, A Swing) Poem by Bill Simmons

Thinking, Believing (A Song, A Swing)

Rating: 5.0

You say that you love me
You say I’m your man
You say you want me woman
Well, I’m trying to understand

Oh why, oh why
Do I not sleep at nights
Why do I toss and turn
Thinking things are not right

Why do I walk
These halls and floors
Thinking, believing
Love is out the door

Why do I feel
I’m not at home
Even in your presence
I’m so alone

Everything I do
I do for you
But sometimes woman
Not sure what I should do

Just look at me
I am dragging my feet
Trying to hold on
Believing I can’t keep

You say that you love me
Help me to understand
Just lay it on me woman
I can take it, I’m a man

Why is it woman
I just can’t sleep
Why is it girl
It’s not like it should be

Thinking, believing
Love that was sweet
Thinking, believing
I’ll never keep.
