Thinking Of You Poem by Emma Atkinson

Thinking Of You

Rating: 5.0

Your name, your name,
It springs unbidden to my mind,
And the more I try not to say it, the more I find
It is written in my heart.
And with every beat of it,
Your name resounds, threatening to break me apart.
I cannot bear the heat of it.
My heart, my heart,
It flutters,
it shudders,
Your name it utters,
Until I grow faint from the feeling.
I feel myself forever reeling,
And I can see nothing strait.
My heart wants only one thing: to wait,
Until by some miraculous fate,
My eyes can behold you again.
