Thinking With The Mind Poem by Alyssa Lippi

Thinking With The Mind

She thinks
her eyes close
pure electric shocks charge her mind
the flow of thought
harsh, , never ending
the words become ice
the nerve shattering frost
travels directly
to her heart
now numb
she can think
clearly
seperate
reality from fiction
possible from impossible
sensible from outrageous
she needs this
a moment of sane thought
of her mind
from her head
not her heart
A choice to be made
hot tears pour silently down her cheeks
heart thawed
eyes open

Decision made.
