This Is All I Do Poem by Steven Harris

All i seem to do lately
is write
all i think about
all day, everyday
is writing
all the time
when i'm out and about
running around
talking with people i don't know
is writing
thinking of words
sentences will come to my
brain
i don't have a way with
words
but all i want to do is write
them
when i'm at a bar
i just want to write
about being at a bar
when i'm in a car
all i want to do is write
about the car
when i'm walking
when i'm talking
i want to write about it
when i come home
pen, paper and i write
when i'm on the phone
i'm thinking about what can i
write next
sometimes it doesn't make
sense
but i don't care
i don't care if i come up
with new words
put words together than have never been
put together before
i just like to write something
simple
get it done
just to write something
i don't care if it rhymes
i don't care if anybody reads it
and says this aint poetry
i don't care
it mine and i wrote it
it's poetry to me
i know i'm not good at it
but i don't care
it's mine
i like it
so i do it
and it's all i do this very day
everyday, all day
writing
thinking about it till it makes me
sweat
and if you think it's stupid
go home and do it yourself
tell me than if you think it's stupid.
