I conduct myself with everyday activities that have little to do with me
A handful of responsibilities with outcomes everyone can see.
My ambitions have individual faces that are beautifully peculiar
I build extraordinary vocabulary whose words don’t look familiar.
My attitude might go for days but that is woman hood
I get elaborated in things no one else could.
I stand 4’11 with problems too far for me to reach
I am the living example of the dream from Dr. Kings’ speech.
I don’t boast but I am bound by everyone’s resentment
They cease to understand that I am merely God sent.
I won’t let negativity cut me, no need for a knife
I can’t change for anyone ‘cuz this is my life.
