This Is My Song Poem by Leaking Pen

This is my song
Your are welcome to sing along
But it is my tune
In my poetry.

Today my heart is sad
Tomorrow it is glad
Like the wind over the ocean
I express my humanity.

Tears from my eyes
From a distance
Are they a sign?
Of happiness
Or sadness
Or just the winds awakening
The spirit in me.

Come along my journey
I promise you no guarantees,
One thing for sure
No dull tools frame my fence.

The light in my eyes might shine
As bright as the Sun in midday
Or it might retreat to gray
Winter's midnight skies.

This beating heart of mine
Gives no guarantees either
Today it swells with life
Tomorrow its the breath of death
Instead.
