This Is Not What I Intended Poem by Aplier Hao

This Is Not What I Intended

You say to get my facts straight
When I don't know what's real
[nor know why]
You say that you wont hurt me
When pain is all I feel
[as I writhe]

You think that I am jealous
When I'm really just confused
[my brain's fried]
You think that I'm controlling
When I'm the one abused
[like a knife]

I never wish
For us to fight
Though we make up
It's not all right

For me to leave
Might be the best
But we both know
We'd both protest

You said you would be there for me
But you were spirited away
[by a lie]
You said you would always love me
But you rarely make it seem that way
[or don't try]

I thought once that I could fight fate
That this one might be worth it all
[price so high]
I thought once that these things were true
That was of course before the fall
[and the cries]

It's all destroyed
A world gone bad
There's just a trace
Of what it had

A shadow of
The life inside
With no words to
Complete this rhyme

No more fights
[no more fights]
We'll survive
[we'll survive]
So goodbye
[so goodbye]
Butterfly
[butterfly]
