This One Heart Poem by Thoisquare Tongbram

This One Heart

Songs in my ears,
But that's not what I hear.
I see not the world fore to me,
But some future to be.

Nor am I aware of the jokes
My friends poke to mock
Me on seeing my grin.
Eyes fixed on the screen.
My thumbs do what's told.
My heart more in control.
My mind still in authority.
Lest I go outta normalcy.
Expecting each reply with a smile.
Then the smile widening for a mile.
Enjoying what's given as 'mine',
Every letter and word shines.
Or is it just the display light? ?
Doesn't matter, day or night

It's like a new beginning I've won.
This feeling's never likely to be gone.
In the dark when I sleep.
In the morn' when I peep
Out of my dreams it's there;
As always, saves me from fear.
This one heart, for come what may,
Will beat for you till its day.
